The KIPI Dashboard

You care about the health of your organization. So do we. SMU DataArts has created this free, diagnostic tool to help you assess organizational health and sustainability, and hone strategic decisions through the analysis of financial and operating performance results.

The KIPI (Key Intangible Performance Indicator) Dashboard is a web tool powered by data from the Cultural Data Profile (CDP). This dashboard provides personalized and confidential scores and trends across nine key areas that set high-performing organizations apart from others.

Intangible aspects such as good decision-making, artistic and managerial expertise, reputation and relationships, intellectual capital, and the quality of the workforce are all reflected in your KIPI scores. Through the understanding of your scores, you can help put a positive influence on your organization’s performance over time.

Organizations that have completed at least one CDP survey have immediate access to their scores. If your organization currently does not have a completed CDP survey, read more about this free service or give us a call at 877-707-3282.

Why Are Scores Important?

  • The KIPI Dashboard illuminates your performance across nine key areas over a five-year period so you can track trends easily
  • Use these scores as a resource to help focus strategic planning discussions
  • Share stories about high performance with your board and funders to help foster support
  • Get real performance results relative to the field; taking into account your organization's community characteristics and your sector, size, age, etc. for more context on how your organization is doing
  • Important intangible aspects like good-decision-making, intellectual capital, reputation, and relationships drive high performance and are reflected in your KIPI scores
  • Many other industries understand high performance and the best practices that drive it, and so can the arts
