Cultural Data Profile

Standardized Data for Reporting and Research

The Cultural Data Profile (CDP) is a free and secure online survey that collects financial and programmatic data from nonprofit arts, culture, and humanities organizations so they can apply for grants, gather insights, and contribute to nationwide research.

Funders and service organizations utilize the CDP to collect data from their applicants and members in a standard format that supports robust insights into sector trends and financial health. Read more about services for grantmakers and service organizations.

How It Works

Completing a CDP survey gives your data new life through research and enables access to tools to understand and communicate organizational trends. Whether you are completing the CDP to apply for a grant or share data with a service organization – our team is here to help you every step of the way.

“SMU DataArts assists arts orgs in reporting data to funders, providing a pretty well-rounded view of the org through the CDP. They seem to continually strive to serve arts organizations by adjusting the CDP, asking for feedback, and seeking new ways to use data to help folks understand what is happening in the arts at large.”
