Nicole Kim is a Cultural Research Fellow at SMU DataArts where she works on projects primarily focused on the Houston Arts Ecosystem together with the Houston Endowment and Fresh Arts. Prior to SMU DataArts, Nicole’s work focused on supporting children and families involved in the child welfare system and addressing systemic inequities within the children welfare and other intervening public systems. Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. She is currently completing her doctoral degree in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin.
