James L. “JW” Williams, III is the chief executive officer of Lawrence Williams, LLC a Washington, DC based consulting firm focused on management, technology and advisement to the federal government and commercial customers.

Prior to starting Lawrence Williams LLC, Mr. Williams spent over 10 years managing a broad array of projects with national and international reach including: managing nuclear waste and environmental restoration construction change-control for the Department of Energy; developing and integrating medical supply chain software systems for the Department of Navy and other armed services world-wide; managing the development of the first automated performance measure dashboard for the Army Surgeon General; overseeing the implementation of the first tele-dermatology product for the Army Medical Department; overseeing the integration of the life-cycle schedules for all 32 military medical systems for the Joint Medical Information Systems Office; and establishing strategic performance management for the Principal Deputy Undersecretary for Defense Policy at the Pentagon.

Throughout his professional career, Mr. Williams has been recognized for his consensus and team building, process implementation and strategy development. He was consistently chosen to lead new contracts, manage customer relationships, and assess and turnaround performance on existing contracts.

Mr. Williams is a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Science of Environmental Science degree from Howard University’s School of Engineering, and has a Master’s degree in Real Estate with a concentration in development and finance from Georgetown University.
