The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) cited CDP data in a recent news release titled, “New Year - New Data to Make the Case for Arts & Culture.” The MCC uses data collected from the Massachusetts Cultural Data Project to evaluate the impact and public value of the cultural organizations supported through its largest grant program, the Cultural Investment Portfolio. Citing CDP data to demonstrate the impact of its investment in the arts, MCC Executive Director, Anita Walker, had this to say: “The MCC invests about $3.4 million in these 400 organizations annually. These numbers demonstrate that the citizens of Massachusetts are getting a return on this investment in our cultural sector through public value and economic impact.”
